Because people wake up late than their usual time in ramazan I think..

The answer is just because its ramazan.

Varah bodu thedheh... i think it's that people don't get enough time maybe? Office hours are a bit longer... n a lot of people do go to play n extra curricular activities are also there... stuff like that maybe?

its mainly becos of the expense. Usually ppl prepare breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner for everyone at home. but during ramazaan ususally only two meals are made. All offices are told to pay more as a ramazaan bonus as well. Plus since its the holy month of ramazan it has been a tradition thats been passed down here in the maldives. i dont think the time factor would play that big a role though i guess u cant put it aside as well.

gastrics thing dho...i guess cos we eat haaru late at night. usually we eat quite early and when we skip breakfast it would mean alot of time....i think.hehe. and ofcourse since we are fasting the spiritual thing would play a huge role. alot of unexplainable stuff happen during ramazan right? another blessing i guess.

    1. It's like imagining running towards something awesome when, say, running around Maale (which I did, nay, endured, twice so far--and believe you me, without motivation, it cannot be done!) I kept imagining a well-toned body accompanied to the fawning and giggling of attractive ladies. Call me shallow.
Same principle--you go through one entire day without eating, no material, tangible gains. Might as well make the best of it with something to look forward to at the end. A goal, if you will.

    2. Gastritis? I skip my meals a lot. I don't seem to have that problem. I guess that your body sort of gets used to not eating? The first day of Ramadan is always, at least for me, hard. It gets better down the week.

    3. Speaking of skipping one's meals. That's exactly how this African imam here described some people's attitudes towards Ramadan. Friday prayers--khutba. It's more than just skipping your meals for the duration of the day. Make use of your day. Spiritually, that is.

err somepeople do get gas in the ramdan too ...
it just depends how it handled ... and what they eat for haaru ...
people who have ulcers ... they cant even fast ... but they try their best ...

nice one.we cant spend like that every month..right?and it wont be special also...if you celebrate ur b'day every day...then whats so special about ur actual b day.. err.. is this an example?

i still have the gas problems.the first 2 days it was horrible, and i even took medicine. now i am a bit careful about eating so much all of a sudden at iftar.and my advice is, drink more and more fani and dont eat so much when u break ur fast.break it with just tasting one of each variety.and then eat haaru early and sleep early or eat tharaavees and eat haaru late.
