Its like saying "Proud to be Chileano?" or "Proud to be Quebecoise"? And they seem fine it with. Doesn't "Quebecoise" sound more, unique, than "Quebecker?"

    Yeah. Go with "Dhivehin".

Although not sure WHY I should be proud though. Not like anyone I've met knows that we exist.

proud to be dhivehin and dhivehinnah veethee fakhuruverivamaa is not the same.

the real translation of the dhivehi version is something like...
"let us be proud , because we are dhivehi" or something like that...

and the dhivehi translation of the english version could be...
    "dhivehinnah veethee fakhuruverivan"

the english version is better.. becoz when we utter the dhivehi version...we are just saying it and expecting others to be proud... who will start it first? but in the secon version it is like.. we are already proud..

and another point is ...they put 'dhivehin' there to show off our unique language...and to show off what we call our selves...to make it more dhivehified... but unfortunately arab influence can be seen from that "KHAA"///why dont they put a "haa" instead of a karukehey khaa with a dot!

and the last thing is... why should we be proud... i had a huge group chat about this when this first came...but was there any public discussion?was there any such in our media?was this discussed at skools? why should we proud to be dhivehin?
