According to Islamic Doctrine trees have no souls. So if we were to cut down a tree for the sake of Allah thn it wont be considered as 'zabah' according to islamic figh.
The following hadeeth is the daleel for this (i.e. trees having no soul):Hadith - Bukhari 3:428, Narrated Said bin Abu Al-Hasan

While I was with Ibn 'Abbas a man came and said, "O father of 'Abbas! My sustenance is from my manual profession and I make these pictures." Ibn 'Abbas said, "I will tell you only what I heard from Allah's Apostle . I heard him saying, 'Whoever makes a picture will be punished by Allah till he puts life in it, and he will never be able to put life in it.' " Hearing this, that man heaved a sigh and his face turned pale. Ibn 'Abbas said to him, "What a pity! If you insist on making pictures I advise you to make pictures of trees and any other unanimated objects (which have no soul)."

haha.. actually this is parts of shariah..which is a type of law. so... in law.. people give the crayziest details.. else there are ppl looking for loopholes in the laws and take advantage of it.but sometimes it just becomes uselessly stooopid!

i think habeeba means the beloved the one who loves..or somthing like dat.u remember dat song habeebee habeebee..? dat means beloved for sure. and muhabbah, mehboob and habib and habibah...all these are relation to the root word hubb. like in hubbul vathan (which is love for the nation).

and there is one thing i never liked about islamic books in dhivehi. too much of arabic in em.. especially the old ones like thauleemdhiyaanaa and all.and like u have showed here..even in the poetry.

...one day in grade 8 9 or 10...some one asked our islam teacher "is this a geography or history book?"..showing him all the maps and charts about islamic wars in that book.

.... i found out the books ur studying from are extremely huge and complicated for anyone who is not really really in to islam. it have so detailed things on big topics like ulumul hadith and all. i knw most of u just by heart the stuff...so dat u can pass the exams.but i really think you should take religion more seriously.after all most of you believe you will be roasted in burning fire if you don't.

these pople are so careful in modifying islamic text to be politically correct. i mean..like once in ur islam book (i dunno abt now)...there was this hadith about fithrathuge sunnaithah...but one of them (that is leaving beard untrimmed) was omitted from it...so ..u may find funny and stupid things in that (that is considering you are a believer...and if ur not.. they are all funny).

once again..good luck wit ur exams!

At least the conditions didn't call for a test of virginity. We should be thankful for that at least. Otherwise these sacrificial rituals would have become plain embarrassing.

i too agree with the comments. and would like to add that i have fallen victim to the utter dhivehi psycho-babble in the islam books more than once. hell, i even blogged about it.

yes, i dunno how to link... -_-'

also, some islam teacher told me that they had blatantly wrong info in the chse islam books. and then he made us cut some pages off. literally. with cutters... >_> that was kinda weirdly awesome... <_<

in my opinion the two points u were trying to show in the first two pics were jes darn stupid. ofcourse it makes sense, not so surprised it didnt make sense to you though(whistle whistle :p).

For example in the first one, ppl might actually hunt it down to catch it and in the process kill it....in which case it cant be accounted for. we as muslims are prohibited from eating anything kathinulaa huri.

and the second one if that point wasnt included maruvimeehaa ahves vaaruthavaane ennu even if he's dead. he might have a wife, kid who in such a case could use that. thats why that point is included. and yea, cut ur nails. it looks all yellow and disgusting. :p (always wanted to say that but so far it had always been the other way around :D)

  15. kaiza shozey said...

P.S- "how stupid do they think we are really?" ....lol....i think uve proved that they are STILL cutting more slack than they should be :p

  16. bulhaa said...

kaiza. that yellow bit is because i was pressing my finger against the book and the blood rushed away >.< my nails are perfectly cut thank you very much.

and to all who called me silly and stupid.. well.. *takes bow* thank you.

and to all that imparted me with knowledge i bestow upon u a very non sarcastic thank you as opposed to the one above.

arkturus, i know what u mean. even our islam teacher was strangely skeptical of the text book. fishy eh?

maybe they just want us to be sure or sumthn? we all know that we arent very brite, though we act like it.

  18. kaiza shozey said...

@bulhaa: heheh. ok ok. its perfectly clean and cut. and the YELLOW colour at the tip is clearly cos u were pressing ur finger against the book and the blood rushing AWAY. and those extra dark yellow bits that can be seen at the end of the nail(seen better after uve clicked the pic to see the zoomed version) must also be related to more DENSER blood jes simply rushing away as well. and cos of this it can also be clearly seen that the nail has been cut.....cos if it hadnt we wouldnt have been able to make this observation :) im so sorry i doubted my eyesight and the picture of the nail with the dark yellowish bits at the end. my bad my bad. *whistle whistle*

@bulhaa: next time do some research b4 u post these stuff :P

aan thedekey dho..ebainey looaabi loaabi kuda ingiyyeh..dint even notice lolz..

*rolls eyes and ahem ahems at the people who noticed and complained about the nails* ^_^

  20. kaiza shozey said...

@maail: come on dude. i never get such a good opportunity like this. she makes sure they are absolutely clean(the reason why she gets away with making comments on my nails if they are long). so i need to take FULL advantage of this opportunity. not to mention the fact that this time ive even got a pic to prove it....more like she's provided me with one :p

  21. moyameehaa said...

@ kaiza: dude..i knw im not the best person to talk about islam... but i just felt that u should know... even if an animal is hunted it will be halal..it doesnt have to be kathilaafa. i think kathilaafa here means more like zabaha kurun....to see an easy to understand english article on the topic ...see here.

but while hunting also we have to mention the name of allah. if it is done without it...also it can be halal. otherwise u cant eat chicken and beef...i mean imported stuff.. coz u dunno what the hell they did to it.so ...usman abdullah made it very clear..quoting from hadiths that eating these can be made halal..IF we say bismillah before eating it...but electrocuted..and naturally naturally dead (or by some other means) are still not halal.. hunting and slaughtering are the only choices...with a special exception to fish.well..that is what i think..from what i knw. :D

and about that nail....tsk tsk...how concerned u r.kekeke..thnx for pointing it out for us.ive also had a look there.i found dat yellow bits aint a big problem if you notice how carelessly it have been cut. its not in shape..i mean not round.kan nukandaathee hen heevanee...but anyway..its a gud thing it is there. coz it showz how extremely large that book is..or maybe how small the finger is? :S

bulhaa..gud luck in your exams! get along with all those stupid or wise details in the book..after the exams you can foget abt it! and throw the book away!! :D

  24. kaiza shozey said...

@moyameehaa: i dont think uve got what i was trying to say but i found the comment you wrote really interesting and informative. ill say it like you did, im nt a scholar or anything but to my knowledge lets say ur chasing something and in the process it hits something and dies. from that point on it wont be suitable for 'kathilun', itll be considered haram to eat.....since itll be dead meat. thats what i was trying to say with "For example in the first one, ppl might actually hunt it down to catch it and in the process kill it....in which case it cant be accounted for."

just like it says in the link uve provided

"Forbidden to you are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah. that which hath been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by being gored to death; that which hath been eaten by a wild animal; unless ye are able to slaughter it; that which is sacrificed on stone [Altar?]; [forbidden] also is the division by raffling with arrows: that is impiety..." – Al-Maidah 5:3

  25. kaiza shozey said...

now the question that arose thru ur comment was, what if when hunting a deer say we released the arrow in the name of allah but it hit a vital organ and killed the deer instantly. would the deer in that case go under 'dead meat' category?

o lordy. what a mess this has invoked.

arra, the islam text book of grade eleven is very detailed and specific [as u can see] about this kathilun stuff. u shud get a copy to read it thru.

and such obsession with my nails! tsch tsch. im flattered.

this post seemed so funny at that time when everyone was stressed out from the constant reading. but now i just regret putting this up. :/
